In April we camped at Joseph D Grant County Park under very cold spring weather.

I took most of the pictures with a Nikon D80 camera on a tripod. I also used the Nikon 18-200mm lens for landscapes and the 300mm f4 lens for birds.

We started our hike to Eagle lake(4.8 miles roundtrip) at the Twin gates parking lot. The Bonhoff Trail featured some very steep inclines.

View from the Hotel trail in the Eagle lake loop. Unfortunately, the lake (more like a pond populated by Red-winged Blackbirds and no eagles) itself is fenced as its is an area under restoration.
