In Oslo we stayed at the Raddison Hotel conveniently located across the street from the railway station (on the left). We had a very nice view of the city.

Located in the outskirts of Oslo we visited the Norwegian Folk Museum which has a large collection of traditional and 19th century architecture. There are over 150 buildings!

Kon-Tiki museum. Renee and Lonnie are standing next to RAII, a papyrus boat in which Thor Heyerdahl crossed the Atlantic in 1970. This achievement proved that even with primitive technology it was possible to travel long distances.

Vigelandsparken. This city park showcases ~200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943), who also designed the layout of the park.

One of Julio's favorite painters is the Norwegian Naturalist/Romantic painter Johan Christian Dahl. This painting, "Hjelle i Valdres" was painted in 1851 and is on display in Oslo's National Gallery.

Edvard Munch is Norway's greatest artist. This painting, "Pikene pa Bryggen" is one of his quieter scenes and is also on display in the National Gallery. Unfortunately, we were not able to see his most famous work "The Scream" as it was stolen the week before we arrived.
